DECA serves the local community - Vinyard Food & Clothing Bank
On October 24, 2025, the Collegiate DECA club from GCC made a meaningful impact by volunteering at the Vineyard Food & Clothing Bank. This initiative was part of DECA's commitment to fostering community engagement and leadership among its members.
During their visit, club members not only assisted with the logistical aspects of food distribution but also took the opportunity to connect with the pantry staff and learn about the challenges faced by local food banks. This hands-on experience allowed GCC students to apply their skills in teamwork and project management while promoting a culture of service and empathy. Their efforts were met with gratitude from both the pantry staff and the community members they served, highlighting the vital role that such organizations play in supporting those less fortunate. The day concluded with a sense of accomplishment, reinforcing the DECA club's mission to empower future leaders through community service.
